Sorry, I've been busy and not looked at this site for a while.
Chasm41: I don't understand Brainfreeze's clue for 51.
Alternative: 4-letter word for communal eating area (military) + 4-letter word for a long time = 8-letter regional (Scotland, Ireland, Yorkshire for example) word for groceries (from the fact that a child might be "sent" with a list to the shop to get them).

Sorry, my last posting is for 61 (the formatting by N. Mizen eats into the margin of every printer I know, resulting in some truncation of the clue numbers - that's my excuse).
"about ten" = circa 10 with usual abbreviation. Answer is a papal representative or legate.
