Am mired in top corner, although the rest of the grid is virtually finished. Can anyone help with these?...

3 D. Implant near two discs (6)
16 A. Touchy about place in Scottish escapade (6) s----e

Thanks, Tony - I thought the garden would be Eden, but was foolishly trying to get the answer to end 'ede'. I've now solved that - and the other two.

I have filled the grid but cannot justify some solutions. I would be grateful for explanations.I am aware that clues must be cut in line with the theme.
I understand BAND in the title but why BOX?
41a Why buffoon?
19d Where do the E&T come from?
37a I see ODE but what is the logic for the rest of the letters?
