I've got 'such' for 1a - not convincing though defined in Chambers as 'of that kind' which is 'like so'

also stuck on 3ac, around around by around 4 or 6 (8)

3a around around - ie anagram of 'around'-
by around ie put b and y on either side of your anagram - whole thing kinda means around... not too sure where the 4 and 6 come in!!

Eureka! just got the 4 and 6 it's something to do with cricket not clues 4 and 6. My excuse is I'm female!
