18d: On the wagon but imbibing vermouth he's vacillating (7)- I don't get the vermouth thing.
8d: Ahriman's equivalent? Take in what's thrown in fury (5)- I have AFRIT and assume that what's thrown in fury is a fit, but then where does the R come from?
Otherwise finished. Easier than usual.

Thanks, ixion. Didn't know that R meant take, but wondered. Had the HE but didn't assume that IT could be vermouth.
So in what context does R stand for take?
