Couldn't stay away from this. Last one for me is Grid E 33ac. Is this a pig rather than a pigeon and if so why (or are we all past caring about the why at this stage)?

I have the pigeon at 17A - 33A isn't themed - crafty wordplay - you need word for a golfing "failure" - replace Earth with Golf - defn is damp ground

Thanks Ixion, got carried away with all the little friends and didn't notice 33 had a clue. My teachers always said I was careless. This was clever and fun esp. the 1ac clue and all finished now and happy to help except everyone else probably finished ages ago.
