for most problems. like "website unavailable" computer going slower than normal,etc I find that all you have to do is switch off (at the mains) your modem (the thing that connects you to the net) for a couple of minutes. This seems to solve nearly all running problems.

i use Adblock so i can't see it. you wouldn't be able to do that with raw html though,maybe javascript,total guess.

is it really 3 years? i thought i started late 08/early 09.could well be wrong.
turn off and back on again does work for most things,weird that!
i need to defragment mine i think.

If it is not three years it must be close to it. But who's counting.
I think the other thing you want is a bloody good security system. I use the latest Norton,completely automatic everything, including de-frag (I think). Since I've had that I've never had a serious problem.


Tonyw, I am not really ignoring you it's just that I don't know the answer. Trevor knows far more about that sort of thing than I do.

My ISP is Virgin Broadband,my browser Google Chrome.I have pop up blockers enabled but this site is strange.I recently bought a Charles Tyrwhit shirt online(not full price)and now I am getting their ads every hour or so.

PS have you any ideas for Sally's last London question?
