Terry,

As they say in the RN "that was a good dit". I'm minded to ask how you had occasion to visit Nimitz but know I won't find out so I won't ask the question!!

If you've got any photos of any ships you served on, I'd love to have them and could post an e-mail address here....? My old man has been responsible fo restoring the gallery of ships on

In earlier life I had quite a lot of contact with the armed services (particularly the army)but I was never in the services myself. I always said that khaki or blue didn't really suit me, I was more of a field-grey sort of guy.
