Hi all,
Sorry for the delay in replying, went to bed frustrated.

Clues across
MINOR (Very small) - gives me the first letters N&R in the two answers.

AIM (Goal) - gives me A&M as the third letter in the two words.

GERMANE (Apt)- Gives me the A&E as the 5th letter in each word

PUSILLANIMOUS (Native) - gives me the O&S as the 7th letter in both words.

COYPU (Large rodent) gives me the last letter Y in the first word.

Hope I haven't confused you even more. Will stick to straightforward cryptic clue crosswords in future.

Just had a quick look and I can't reconcile your pusillanimous with native.

Hi Joker,

sorry to have inconvenienced you, the clue was TIMID not Native.

I fear I have had a torrid time with this Mature Times crossword and should consign it to the bin. This is the first time I have seen this publication and considering it is aimed at us crinklies and wobblies it is quite difficult. Well it is for me.
