Not sure if this qualifies as a "pattern" in the sense they're looking for but:

15 / 5 = 3
3 + 3 = 6
6 + 6 =12

12 / 4 = 3
3 + 3 = 6
6 + 6 =12

12 / 3 = 4
4 + 3 = 7
7 + 6 =12
