16. Find the name of a WW2 plane and add the last but one letter of airfield.

winnie - there are other medals than VC and GC. 16 is more WWI than II. I'm still stuck on 24 - any clues?

Thanks Bazza for the WW1 instead of WW2 plane for 16. Re 25 I have looked at loads of Bravery Awards and got know where yet.
Still struggling with 2 as well.
Re 24 I have got an answer but very unsure of it. Uncommissioned solder = NCO
Province = NI. I have got as far as 'orinoco'
but doesn't seem to fit the bill exactly. Any ideas ?

Hi winnie - this bravery award for "other ranks" was discontinued in 1993.On same track as you for 24 NCO and NI but can't make it work.

Still stuck on 2,5,13,16 & 24, any more clues?? Suej

Hi suj53. 5. is an anagram. clues already for 13.16.and 24, although I'm still working on 2. and 24. You don't ask for help with 25 - so have you got it and could you give me a clue please.I'm really struggling with this one.
