Finding this tough...can anyone confirm that 2D is a normal clue that seems to rely on a misspelling of "rake"?

Yes it's a normal clue. Probably the hardest of the bunch in my opinion. There ain't no misspelling. The words "all about" are vital to solving.

Sorry, I still have 2D to do (is there a mis-spelling of rake?).

As well as 1A, 5A,12A, 3D and 8D!

I'm pretty sure 2D relies on a misspelling...either that or it's an indirect anag.

Dear ixion: why do you think there is a misspelling? There really isn't.

.... and no anagram either.

...because (unless we have different answers) the rake is spelled ?ou? not ?uo?

Ixion, think of another word for rake

i think the words "it's all about" in the clue are intended to mean the word for rake are not in any correct order

Hmm - I think the "all about" is to indicate "guy" inside "rake"(?ou?) - and reverse the whole lot.
