1. Competition Details

• One Sharp PWE500A Electronic Dictionary & Thesaurus to be won worth £94.99
• Competition entry by SMS only.
• Competition Question: How many letters are there in the English alphabet?
• Text XWORD plus your answer to 80806* (*text message charged at £1.50)
• Text messages must be received by midnight on 31 March 2009.
• 1 random winner will be drawn from all correct responses received on 3rd April 2009 and all winners will be notified by SMS.
• No purchase is necessary
• Eligibility - Entrants must be aged 18 years or older (or if under 18 that your parents have consented to your entry into the competition and the rules) , must be resident in the UK, not be employees or their immediate families of the Competition Organiser, their agents or anyone professionally connected with the draw.

2. General Conditions

2.1 The Competition Organiser shall not be liable to any entrants for the consequences of any events that may occur that are beyond the control of the Competition Organiser and which may cause the disruption or cancellation of the competition, or which may prevent or interfere with the delivery, acceptance and or subsequent use of the prize.

2.2 Except in respect of death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the Competition Organiser , the Competition Organiser expressly disclaims any responsibility for any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions, injury or disappointment of any kind suffered by the entrant or any other person, resulting from participating the competition, including without limitation from sending or attempting to send text messages, the delivery, acceptance and /or subsequent use or misuse of the prize.

2.3 The Competition Organiser reserves the right to modify scheduling of the competition or to terminate or suspend the competition without notice at any time for any reason. In the event of such modification termination or suspension of the competition the Competition Organiser may in its sole discretion elect to award prizes to winners randomly drawn from among all entrants who have validly entered the competition by that time.

2.4 By entering the draw all entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions of the competition.

2.5 Any prize won shall not be exchangeable for cash or any other prize.

2.6 Incorrectly completed details in any text message submitted as part of the competition will be disqualified.

2.7 The Competition Organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entrant if it has reasonable grounds to believe the entrant has breached any of the competition terms and conditions.

2.8 Sending a text message is not proof that we have received your entry in the competition. No responsibility is accepted for entries that are lost or delayed or which are not received for any reason.

2.9 The Competition Organiser assumes that by entering into the competition (and you represent that this is true) you meet any eligibility criteria listed in the Competition Details section above.

2.10 The competition terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

2.11 By entering the competition you consent to the collection and use of the personal information you have supplied in your text message. Data relating to entrants will be retained by the Competition Organiser for no longer than is necessary to complete the administration of the competition.
