for 39 think of a combination of two everyday cutlery items (think they were brought about to eat at a buffet etc when you had hands full)

Got it thanks Mamya (although never heard of it before). I certainly have never had one in any house I've ever occupied!

If anyone's still looking at this site, we (my posting of 5 May refers) got 2 of the remaining ones to be answered (and were surprised how easy they seemed once solved) but I'd still appreciate hints as to the one yet unsolved 'In the Cabinet, nearly everyone has the locks changed on March the First'.

Panic over. Had thought of trying 'al' 'hair' and M for anagram but only keyed alharim and alrahim into search engine as I presumed answer would end in M.
Still, if anyone has any thoughts on the answers I wasn't 100% sure of listed in my posting of 5 May, I'd appreciate them before posting off clean copy.

just one to get-93 Top Story of Athens(5).

Have had attic suggested but cant work it into answer other than through play on the words \'top story\' although the latter word is misspelt for this purpose
