That's what I've got with 're' for again and 'ne' for born. But I think it's not very good as in dictionaries I can only find 'ne' spelt as 'nee' with the accent on.

NEE (last E accented) applies to a woman.
NE (last E accented) applies to a man.

True, it is rare.
That's because it is usually used of married women so it is normally the feminine form that we know and use. Men don't usually change their names on marriage - or any other occasion - so it's rare to see the masculine form.
