Like Wombat,I think that the wording of the clue may be slightly wrong.
If it read,

"Get
(IT)
on your boots"

it would make more sense to me. I think SuzieM is right tho.

I agree with trevor
The word 'it' makes all the difference.
I've tried most connections with boots: Desert, Wellingtons, Gum etc to no avail. So I think SuzieM's suggestion is best so far

One more little prob for me.
If Dusty refers Trumpton/Camberwick green (it probably doesn't) then it should say Windy - not, Dusty (Miller)??
