An ancient ballad. Please help if you can?
"Yestreen the Queen had Four Marys, this nicht she`ll hae but three,there was Mary Beaton and Mary Seton and Mary Carmichael and me." So, who was me, thr Fourth Mary?

Thank you, ixion, so who was Mary Hamilton? And Mary Fleming went into exile wth Mary, Queen of Scots, so could she have been the fourth Mary?
