11a Not to mention hinderance by solitary amateur included 3,5. Let alone?

28a Criminal goes North of the border with short bird 8. Gangster?

23d Extremely or partly clever? Somewhat 4,2. Even so?

26d Eight sounded cocky 8. Crew.

Criminal goes North of the border with short bird 8. Gangster

i think "gangs" is scottish for goes + ter(n) - short bird.
