I'm really struggling with this one.
Is 3d 'loosened'? And if so, what has that got to do with a black beast?
For 13a "Putting on or in for it? I have ---l-ing, and I am at a loss for 11d "a soft fruit with tasty kernel is exhibited" 8 letters and I have r as second last.
Thanks for any help.

13a - APPLYING - double definition

11d - APPEARS - A P (soft) PEAR (fruit) S (taSty kernel)

Do you have the clue for the other one?
