Hello, Poppy! Your second one is "WRETCHES" (Miserable - anagram of "The Screw")but the other two have got me stummped also. Is there a chance that any of the letters you have are wrong, or are you happy with them? Regards.

It's me again! Just a thought - if the third letter in your first clue was "R" then the word could be "CORACLES" (C for 100 - many + ORACLES who are wise people) and Coracles are a small kind of boat or craft. Hope this helps; let me know if your third one could have any different letters, and I will look at it again.

You might also check the third letter again in your third clue - I think it must be "ACTIVITY", as "It turns up (TI) before five (V) in A CITY, which gives activity or business. So it would be :
A + C (TI + V) ITY !! Again it is sheer guesswork, but I hope it will help. Best regards.
