Surprised to see I'm first to comment. Never opened a thread before!
I'm sure Everyman's getting difficulter (is that a new word?). I finished this with a Phew! Surely nobody in Blighty has heard of 12! 8 is clery vever.
.
Two to go - 21d and 24a which I suspect are geographical answers. Never my strong point! Started in the SW corner, then NW and slowed down on the RHS. I tend to think of 7d as a US answer as well as 12d.
For 21D think of a part of a hostelry followed by the usual Everyman pronoun. I am stuck on 5D which seems unsolvable as I have T?E?F?C. Also 12D despite a fairly obvious first word. And 24A seems to have only one possible answer which is unparsable.
