Hope that Syzygy and Sunray are doing ok.

I call syzygy occasionally but haven’t spoken with him recently. He sent me a Spectator at the end of March. There’s a three-hour time difference and often when I think of calling I figure it would be inconvenient for him, although he perhaps likes to chat at 5am.

Has anyone done this? All the clues are listed as across.

The "across" shouldn't be there. A typical carte blanche once you ignore that word.
