Nice easy one to end the month. It took a while to parse 22a - but a clever clue. COD 14a

Yes fairly straightforward but some likeable clues Happy Easter all.
As well as 14a 20a also good. Some new words also.

I found quite a few clues that i just did not see, needed some PDMs. I stared at 10d and 13d for ages. Agree with other posts on COD contenders. I'll add 10d to them.

Easier than it looked at first. No stand out clues for me. Not sure about the parsing of 1a . I got LA Times but can’t parse the last two letters.
Apart from that, nice to do a quick solve.

An enjoyable puzzle with lots that made me smile. I particularly enjoyed 4 (evoked a great image) and 15 (the Lilliputians get far too much of the fame). I’m now off to eat chocolate and try to finish yesterday’s mammoth prize.

Not too difficult except for the parsing of 13d.
Any hints please?

13d is an anagram (playing) of two single letter “united”s, a word from the clue, plus ‘a’ and two single first letters. At least I think that works!

Thanks Jono.

Although I am not at the stage of parsing 13d. There are too many teams for me to build up an anagram, not helped by the fact I can't determine which is the definition part of this clue.

Hello Fernie

The definition for 13d is “city”.
