45a: I think that "Gibe" is the definition and I am confident that my answer is correct, but I do not understand the wordplay. CheeseCracker's wordplay can be tough e. g. "Arguably bedridden" for DIAL in a down clue (i. e. LAID up), or merely ":" for COLON.

45 The first three letters, reversed are the start of Ras(h) reckless, the last four sound like (in audition) Chasm, opening.
