Is the L=line?Is the third score some reference to 60?

clue is the answer-i think (cue around l).

I see, signal to player, like prompt, with L in. It is the 60th clue of the puzzle!

I don't have the crossword but maybe,
"this one completes the third score"
means -
this one(this "clue")is the 60th Clue (if you count the across clues too).
worth a try?
