Any ideas re-3d? 6 letters. 'Reunion request:hearts are unmatched'. I've got p-i-u- and am thinking of 'primum' but am not sure why.

Thanks a lot, Trevor. I suppose that means 1a is 'harrumph' and not 'hornpipe' as I had. (Clue was 'express dissatisfaction with prince briefly gaining speed around bend').
