How pleasant to have the Spectator back after its Chrstmas hols. Whether Mr Magoo's offering is up to snuff I'll find out in the morning but its just good that it's here.

The theme soon became apparent but there was some great clueing and I learnt some new words. Kudos to Mr Magoo.

I too enjoyed this a great deal with some canny clues and additions to my vocabulary, although I doubt I'll be using 18a or 20d in everyday conversations. Thanks to Mr Magoo.
