Morning! I acknowledge that it's very early yet but am bamboozled by 29d: Female in play who conquers (7).

I'm pretty confident of my crossing entries but cannot identify a word to fit the clue, with the dubious exception of a Dutch derivation.

Could the answer be a proper name?

I found 2 that begin with a Y that fit there

It should be indicated by your only alphabetic omission - ie last but one.
