10 There's a famous radical playwright called (Dario) Fo - which sounds like Pho-to, to in the clue.

20 Ramsay? Ram is listed under
'war=rships' in Bradfords, and Say,. for example. I guess it must mean a 'summer visitor to Skye', but I haven't confirmed that bit!

22 d. Yes, Loti, famous French novelist.

The reference, I think, is “To the Lighthouse” by Virginia Woolf, which follows the Ramsay family and their visits to Skye…

Indeed Malone, I think it would be rather obscure for a daily cryptic; not so for the TLS. Had you not made the Ramsay - Skye connection it wouldn’t have occurred to me and even then I had to google to confirm :-)
