Two left - I've been puzzling for a week....!
"Provide quarters? Exactly." E-D--
"Hole measuring very little - an inch, say?"

Everything else finished - just need these two.

ENDUE (provide) - E N (quarters) DUE exactly)

EYELET (a hole) - sounds like islet = inch = small island

Could the second one posssibly be ENDOW meaning provide. E, N & W would be the quarters but not sure about the DO in the middle.
