For 19 down the clue is : Long second half performed
From the letters already obtained from other words I think the answer has to be the answer "acted" and this does mean performed but I cannot work out how "Long second half" provides the answer of "acted"

I thought this was an awful clue. I've justified it as (protr)ACTED, but it might be something else.
On the other hand, I thought 24a was great!
