This is my first post so I hope this is ok - I am trying to solve a crossword from the 1960s and these last two have me stumped! Thanks in advance!

I think the first my just be EASTER, though I'm not convinced. The qote is the first line of the poem, but the clue implies that isn't relevant?

No idea on the second. There is a book that inlcudes all the members of the clergy, but I can't remember what it is called.

I wonder if it’s PILOT CLOTH where pilot is the reference to a guide. Don’t know if this was used by clerics?

The St Agnes one is puzzling, Easter fits the letters - I just can't work out the fit with the clue.

Hi Melbann, do you know what year your 1960s crossword is from? I’m wondering if the clue followed the “Big Freeze” of 1963. As Chris said, the reference is to the Keats poem
