If you don't want to give a direct answer, could someone offer a clue?

P.S My initial thoughts were adding and subtracting, multiplying and dividing the adjacent numbers of the numbers on a dartboard but think I am on the wrong lines!

My last word on the matter is that the correct name of the quiz/puzzle then allows us to decide whether to answer or not , this particular quiz is much prized by some and as mentioned above, the setter requests you not to ask on the internet.

Try odd numbers and even numbers,writing them down as opposed to using figures.Hope this is of some help to you,but I may be on the wrong tack.
