Well I first thought dissenter then the across clue threw this out because the 6th letter of the clue is an E

I am physically well on the mend. The mental state is taking longer and I am only 51. I have been so cr@p at my pub quiz nights (and it wasn't the tipple!).

Will let you know when I get clue but don't think I will spend Saturday morning trying to complete.

I've been having problems with this clue too. Dissident fits in with the letters but can't see how that ties in with the clue. Dissenter on the other hand fits the clue but not the letters.

Dissident I believe is correct - ID in 'dissent' but I'm willing to be convinced otherwise!
