I need help in solving a crossword. The clues are :

(A) Produces yards taking one from the spanish (6)
The word would be y?g?ds. However g could be wrong but its certainly not yards....

(b) Purana revealed pottasium content of silica (5) The word would be ?k?n?....

Can someone please help ?

i think the answer is Skand but cant really back it up... pottasium = k inside sand(silica)
One of Puranas is Skanda.
might need to research a bit more?

I think that Practice could be interpreted as Vogue in the sense that, say:It was the practice (vogue)in that part of the world to drive on the right.
