I’m sure we’ve seen this theme before or something very like it.

Personally, I don't want to see any hints or answers to the theme.

I am enjoying this challenging puzzle and have yet to solve the unclued lights and the perimeter .

I have the 7th edition of ODQ on my knee, with cup of coffee, so hoping for some inspiration very soon.

There are quite a few words I had to check in Chambers .

Agree Jazzgirl. Thoroughly enjoyed some clever clues and some challenging solutions.

I hope others are as amused as I was by 4d - it really made me chuckle.

This was much better than last week’s. Yes, 4dn was funny, couldn’t think what I was looking for.

Thanks also to the ODQ without which I would probably not have solved the perimeter. It had rested on the bookshelf for too long

hypotheses - you're not wrong about having seen this theme before. It was puzzle number 2533 in the edition dated 20 November 2021. I'll say no more because to do so would give too much away for anyone who's looking forward to solving this one. But it does make you wonder what is the point of a crossword editor.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for my last 2 includes?
19a and 24a

I particularly liked the humour of 4d.
