In crossword 25,122, the answer to:This aircraft's unveiling is seen in between sides, nothing 26 (4-3)

26 was: Will the actor backing intro for spies give literary class?(5)
The answer to that was Yahoo.

I see the Will Hay bit, but not the rest.

Gosh I'm not sure about this....Yahoo I have no idea how they got there.
This aircraft's unveiling is seen in between sides, nothing 26 (4-3)= Roll out

R(ight) O(nothing) L(eft) L OUT a Yahoo is a lout(26)
Roll out= unveiling
Where the aircraft bit comes in defeats me...and there is absolutely no way I could ever have got to this answer.
I await someone better than me (not difficult) to give the real explanations.

Hi.

I think you are spot-on Fred!

'rollout' (often one word) is the public unveiling of an aircraft.

re: Yahoo ... Spy identifiers start 'oo' (eg James Bond = 007).

Will the actor backing - Will HAY backing = YAH
intro for spies - OO7, OO8 etc
literary class - Yahoo - A brutish class of men from Gulliver's travels.

Hi Fred, in answer to your question:
In Australia "roll out" is also used to refer to the official launch of a new product.
