Hullo Bharath
I think CHOW 9s right for 18A.
52A [must be a big puzzle!] could be GLEANS.
8D might be LAMPOON, but that would mean your R is wrong.
And if your N is wrong, 9D could be COUP.
That may (or may not) be helpful.

Hi Jomac and AJT
7a. ------ out. obliterates or obscures? (6). (This I am yet to solve this. may be BLACK out or KNOCK out), The 2nd letter of this clue is the 1st letter of 8d and the 4th letter is the first letter of 9d. for which I have already given clues.
15a. Weapons are usually stored here (7). I have written the answer as ARSENAL and hence S (3rd letter of 8d and N 3rd letter of 9d should be correct unless you disagree with ARSENAL.

Thanks Jomac. ARMOURY fits well. LAMPOON CHOW and COUP are okay. With BLACKS out being also correct, I have to resolve the clue 10d.
10d. Part of the Gramophone which moves over the record and holds the needle (6)S-Y--- (earlier I had used the word SPLINE using ARSENAL as the right word. But now with ARMOURY being right we have to resolve 10d.
