Anybody else totally stumped?

1a is biblical, read the loaves and fishes story, also thematic
9a is an anagram, perhaps also thematic when read in conjunction with 1a?
1d think ‘issue’ as in offspring

Paul, 1a is also a complex subtractive anagram, but you probably need the answer before working it out
