You're probably right. I suppose it's credtable that The Spectator has managed to put out an edition on schedule, given that the mag's offices suffered pretty badly in the recent rain.
Unclued, I think it’s possible to work out a solution as to where the shades could be and, as there are not than many Gs, Hs and Us, you can probably be fairly definitive up to that point; but good luck with sorting out which As, Es and Ts to use!
