Just got 9 ac. Amazing how it will come to you if you leave it alone!

I've just got 9 ac, too, SallyW, after the r you gave me for the 5th letter enabled me to get 7d.
But what about 26d - Fifty percent of birds do like insects when flying (4)? I've got B?Z?, so it looks as if it must be BUZZ, but I don't get the clue.

Got me for a bit but it's 50% of Buzzards gives you the buzz which is what insects do!
