How do these clues work please?

1,2d "Wiltshire town in winter?" (8)
The solution is in two 4-letter slots so I have guessed "Westbury".

27a "Unaware of Tr na nOg, sadly" (8)
"Ignorant" would fit, but where is the "I"?

24d "Language coming from Jack and Vera, regularly..." (4)
I have "Java" but I can't see the "regularly".

I think 27a is probably just a mistake and the "i" should be in there somewhere

J(ack)
(A)nd (V)er(A) - every third letter.

What letters are definite in the 1st answer?

My definite letters for 1 and 2 d are:
W?S?B?R?

Regarding Java, isn't your 1st interval 4 letters?

Westbury,Ignorant and java are all correct.Westbury-W-inter,and the i in the ignorant anagram should be in Trina-printers'error.I'm missing the final 29 across clue.

J is for Jack and then regular intervals from "and vera"

Thanks Kev. That explains the working of Westbury but I still don't understand Java.

29a is the sound of Bin Paul when spoonerised and is defined by a pop record (which I have heard of but not heard!)

... and thank you Trevor for the explanation of Java - although I don't think much of it as a clue.
