Thanks, Caravaggio!
Point taken - Polish vodka with a kick!
As it says: "a drink that is incredibly sharp. It takes your breath away." (I wonder if that is permanently?)
Definitely worth passing on: if only to protect your liver and kidneys!

Just for information,tvlicensing.co.uk states
"You need a valid TV Licence if you use TV receiving equipment to watch or record television programmes as they’re being shown on TV. ‘TV receiving equipment’ means any equipment which is used to watch or record television programmes as they're being shown on TV. This includes a TV, computer, mobile phone, games console, digital box, DVD/VHS recorder or any other device."

Thank you, Mondrian, that's nice of you. Incidentally, I stumbled across this quotation last night:

"The three most astonishing things of the past half-century are the Blues, Cubism and Polish vodka." Pablo Picasso

Hi All,

I'm still here, but have been away in various places over the last few weeks. Latest destination was Inverness where we went to the recently refurbished http://www.eden-court.co.uk/" >Eden Court Theatre. I've also been called upon to refurbish a couple of magnificent Marshall combo amps from the 1970's for a local band, which filled several days. Consequently there's not been much time for crosswords or forum lurking, but I did finish this week's RT last night in about 45 minutes whilst watching Gareth Malone trying to tame 39 wild primary school boys.

Mostly fairly harmless, but at first I wasn't impressed with 1D. After studying the only answer that fitted I found the wordplay, which is actually rather neat. More of a Grauniad clue than RT I think.

Got to go and rig for a gala opera concert which is in the theatre tonight and then we have a performance tomorrow of "Messiah In A Day". A scratch chorus from all the choirs around the island and some students from the Royal Northern College of Music are starting rehearsals at 2pm and performing the whole thing at 7:30pm. I just hope it's not too awful. More info http://www.arranart.com/voice/#w1">here.

Sorry, that last post reads as if the 39 primary school boys were mostly harmless, rather than RT #37, which I was I meant. Make your own interpretation.
