14. Takes control, then diverts (8)
16. A free traveller (8)
19. Specialists in Amsterdam (3, 6)

"Puzzled" very kindly suggested 'Carpenters' for (6) and 'Outrider' for (16). Could you explain to a dim guy like me? I thought Richard C is still alive etc..

Also, can someone please tell me the significance of the number '2' in the clue "Coming between 2 spouses". Why not "two".

19. GEM BUYERS? I would have preferred 'dealers' or 'traders' but we're restricted to six letters and 'specialists' is a plural form.

Regarding "Carpenters" Richard may still be alive, but Karen is not and so the duo is no more. Carpenters relates to occupations, so, in the absence of anything better, I still think it
is a good bet. Regarding other comments, I, too, have enjoyed taking part in this exercise and would be interested in seeing the complete answer list when known.

I'm a tad confused by the answer suggested and, presumably, accepted for 25, viz Mr Right. Whilst it fits the clue, it doesn't seem to fit the criteria of profession/occupation.

However, try as I may, I am unable to provide an alternative??

Also, you appear to have discounted a suggestion of Outrider for 16 but it does seem to fit
