Down to the last two. 22ac is Stop in America for some time. Six letters and I have ???I?D. 19dn which intersects it also has six and the clue is Happened to be deadly dangerous. I have ?E???L and obviously Lethal would fit. But that would make H the second letter of 22ac. Can anyone help?

This is PERIOD which means full stop in American English (and of course a period is also a term for some time)

So BEFELL would fit

Many thanks Mamya, Ixion and MB. Cross with myself for not getting 22ac PERIOD but I'll get over it. It's been an easy puzzle today and I guess I didn't get fully in the zone. As for 19dn BEFELL it's not a great clue and I'm not going to beat myself over that one. Incidentally BEFELL does not appear in Crossword Solver. Thanks to you all once more.
