Am struggling with the top left corner today. Grateful for any input on the following:-

1a - (6) Copied talented pupil, not good. Starts with an L.
12a - (5) The covers, round and large, for stand. Starts with a T.

2d - (4,3) Fellow abroad, eating wrongly, put on weight. --L- --T

3d - (5) Remove points at end of period. --A--

15d - (4) Pirate's loud - pain in the ear.
