I am puzzled by "Ten of the eleven unclued lights are of a kind and consist of singleton of two words , three pairs and a trio."
If we have one singleton , three pairs and a trio then we only have 1 +3 +1 =5 clues so what am I misunderstanding?

one trio = 3
one singleton = 1
