Assuming 4/5/6 down are "ingest/enneagon/spate, I'm left with "_s_a_e" for 12 across - Key Issue?

Can't quite justify enneagon (a figure) as I think it is tied in with 12 across

I'm guessing "escape", but not sure. Clue for "Enneagon" is - Figure aka nag (12, about?)

Hi.

Putting 'nag' inside 'noon' ('12') gives 'nonagon', another word for ('aka') enneagon.
