I have done this crossword, and was showing my answers proudly to a friend before posting it to claim my WHSmith gift voucher (fat chance!), when I found I couldn't explain how I had reached one answer. Very embarrassing.
11ac Hindu practice in East Anglian town leading to conflict and unhappiness (15).
I'm sure DISSATISFACTION is right because it checks with all others, but I can't remember how I got it. Diss=town, Faction maybe = conflict, but where is the Hindu practice? If I can't explain soon, my friend will think I was only guessing blindly.

Hi Jomac.

'sati' = 'suttee' = a Hindu custom concerning cremation.

This should give you the missing piece of the jigsaw!

Many thanks JimC. I don't remember equating "sati" with "suttee", so perhaps I was indeed guessing blindly!

Don't give up. I have been solving Saturday Cryptic Times & Sunday Times for the past 15 years. I won the Times Saturday last year and Sunday Times last month.
Best of Luck
