I have just completed this weeks puzzle, but there are clues that I need explaining to how I have arrived at the answer. Any help would be appreciated.

5d. No longer tight, beer ordered in south Belfast party.
I have Sobered Up
Tight being drunk points to the answer, made up with the anagram of beer. South (s) is indicated but why Belfast Party?

7d. US Writer coming out? I must come out too.
I have Emerson.
