SuzieM: How annoying! I have it printed out right in front of me and the clue is exactly as I posted it. If I were a New Yorker I'd consider suing for emotional trauma.

Hi Sudokulover
Yes, I was quoting from the newspaper, but I did look at the online version, as I suspected that was different, but it did give 'full-flavoured'. I looked at it before I posted earlier.
Very strange!

Well we can't all be hallucinating (though you never know). At any rate, there's quite a difference between rich for full-flavoured and eric for an old Irish fine paid to a murder victim's family.

I just checked it. The online version that first appears has full-flavoured, but the printable version still has fine!

I downloaded mine at about 7am on Sunday, and it said fine then. It sounds as if the setter wasn't very happy about his definition. But of course, it doesn't make any difference to the answer

it's that all important word "mostly" that was lacking.
At least everyone agreed on the answer but what about poor aristophanes' head?

Compared to what happened to Aeschylus's head in Sicily this is nothing.
